Jamie Cunningham offers a broad base photography service primarily focusing on wedding, portrait, event, and editorial location photography. Jamie began his passion for photography through his love of outdoor pursuits photographing climbing, skiing, and sailing. With an eye for making singular images that stand alone, he has also developed a talent for creating documentary stories of his adventures.
In 1987 he graduated from The New England School of Photography with a double major, with honors, in Photojournalism and Black & White Fine Arts. From that point forward Jamie has created numerous black & white and color documentary self-assigned stories. A sample of topics include: The Abinaki Indians, a family living off the grid, an expedition to climb Annapurna I (Nepal), the free Tibet movement, and homeless people. He has documented various social and political protest ranging from Seabrook Nuclear Plant, the Abortion Issue, Iran/Contra Affair, and the Anti-Apartheid Movement to name a few.
Through photographing weddings and portraits Jamie found he could apply and hone his talents of photographing people. His documentary approach produces lasting memories of sensitivity, fun, and visual beauty. Through experience he knows how to seek out and anticipate the decisive moments of any event. Jamie is committed to providing you with the highest standards of quality and service.
